About this medicine
Mounjaro 15 mg contains tirzepatide, given as a weekly subcutaneous injection. Carton of four single-dose prefilled pens. One pen per week — 15 mg is the maximum dose. Prescription required — a registered pharmacist verifies your prescription with the prescriber before we dispense. Every order is picked from lot-tracked, in-date stock.
What it is used for
Prescribed as an adjunct to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. Your prescriber decides whether it is appropriate for you.
Who should not take it
Not for anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2, or in pregnancy.
Warnings
Thyroid C-cell tumours were seen in rodent studies. Tell your prescriber about any lump or swelling in the neck, hoarseness, trouble swallowing or shortness of breath. Pancreatitis, gallbladder disease and severe gastrointestinal effects have been reported.
How to store it
Refrigerate at 2°C to 8°C. Do not freeze. Protect from light.
